Things to do near The Great Escape Game Sheffield. Popular Sheffield Categories. Commonly searched for in Sheffield. It's a while since I played The Great Escape's Mad Scientist room, but I am only just updating my reviews. I'm now directly comparing it to the 100+ escape rooms I've done.

I liked the start of Mad Scientist.the blindfold element is brilliant, and what follows is good - though I don't know how they got it past fire regs!! Still, it's fun.

That said, a mistake had been made in the reset, which spoiled it a little for us, and ruined the immersion when the member of staff spoke to us through the walls! Mistakes happen, so I'll move on. As a game, it has some nice ideas and I'd say it's a good intro escape room for people.

The problem is it's now an old game, and other escape rooms have caught up, and probably overtaken them, and that's only going to happen more and more. I hope The Great Escape can keep up, as they're nice people, and they've been around so long.

Obviously, as well as the brilliant Escapologic in Nottingham, Make Your Escape and Unescapable in Derby, there are more companies opening in and around Sheffield, which can only be a good thing for the consumer. Best of luck, Great Escape Sheffield - we'd like to see some new, fresh ideas now.

At first I was really nervous/scared but once I was in the room I felt calm and got really stuck into the game. Great day out with friends for something different to do, will definitely be visiting again!! - slightly let down by the man with ginger hair who made me feel slightly uneasy when I was nervous and failed to reassure me it would be okay, at first saying I wouldn't be allowed out atall though later stated he would let me out quickly if I wanted to, all in all best activity done in ages!
