When you start the game off for the first time you’ll be asked whether you want to play through a tutorial. The great thing here is that players who don’t want to be forced to go through the tutorial can simply skip it if they know they can handle the game. The tutorial is very in-depth and teaches everything there is to know about the game so by the end of it you’ll know exactly how to make your way through the world of Tribal Wars 2.

One really good thing that the game does for new players is that it activates an attack protection mechanism for players who’ve just started playing. This makes sure that every new player has an ample amount of time to build up their base, army units and setup other defensive structures to repel against attacks. Gameplay in Tribal Wars 2 is top notch MMORTS gameplay that has some really in-depth structure creation and a pretty solid variety of units that you can combine together to create a well balanced army. From a technical standpoint, everything seems to have been executed perfectly as the game rarely encounters any glitches or other issues and from an enjoyment standpoint, Tribal Wars 2 has everything you’ll need to keep yourself busy for hours upon hours.

Although almost every other aspect of the game has been refined to a near perfect amount, the graphics are where the game falls just a bit short. Since this is a browser based game, you shouldn’t be expecting high quality visuals anyway but the art-style in general and the overall lack of any visual flare makes Tribal Wars 2 a bit of a letdown in the graphics department. Due to this being an MMO game, the presence of micro-transactions is hardly a surprise. Crowns are the main currency of the game and although they’re mostly acquired through in-game means, you can also buy them with real world money. Luckily, crowns are the only thing you can actually purchase for real world money so the rest of the things in the game have to be acquired by actually playing through the game which maintains a good sense of balance between paying and non-paying players. Tribal Wars 2 is a top notch MMORTS game that might not impress visually but more than makes up for it when it comes to gameplay.
