I'd like to introduce you to the girl in the picture.Just a few days back, our friend David Pierce took a picture of former Alabama Football quarterback Tua Tagovailoa hugging a young girl (photo, upper left & post below) at Huntsville's Parkway Place Mall. While the picture has been viewed by thousands, the picture showed us only the back of her head. I’d like to show you her beautiful face and tell you her story:Abigail Overstreet loves everything about her life. So what if she came along much earlier than expected- born, in fact at 25 weeks and one day?
So what if she spent 108 days in a Huntsville ICU alongside her twin sister Adalynn? Little Abigail showed the world what being a fighter is all about.Abigail Overstreet is a special needs child- she in fact is on the Autism spectrum.
And you know something? It doesn't slow her down a bit. Abigail plays the piano beautifully, she takes gymnastics lessons and she swings a mean bat on her softball team.Abigail Overstreet loves the Crimson Tide- she's been to every home football game over the last four years. She can rattle off team stats and most every player on the roster.
And oh, how she loves Tua.Abigail Overstreet waited in line patiently days ago, hoping to get an autograph from her hero, but the hours were waning and she was tiring. All but out of hope, Abigail turned to walk out of the mall with her mother Clayli. Oh, but there was one saving grace that God would put before them: Abigail and mom had to walk past Tua's table on their way out.Abigail Overstreet walked closer to Tua, and tears came to her eyes- you see, this child with Autism is very emotional, and often cries tears of joy or tears of excitement. As Tua looked up as the 4th grader passed by, he wondered why the little girl was crying.Abigail Overstreet decided to go for it! She made a dash toward Tua, and as the tears flowed, wrapped her arms around the quarterback. Tua took time to comfort her as mom Clayli snapped a picture (upper right). As Clayli watched her daughter hug Tua, she realized that Abigail wouldn’t let go.
He held Abigail tight while continuing to sign autographs, making sure that Abigail felt comforted until her tears departed and her smile returned. And to add a cherry on top of the day? Former Bama star Mark Ingram, sitting near Tua, turned to Abigail and said, 'Where's my hug?'
Abigail Overstreet is enjoying her new fame, and the 9-year-old is still shaking as she thinks of her impromptu meeting with Tua. Mom Clayli, dad William and sisters Adalynn and Anna are sharing in Abigail's joy, and they thank Tua for being there for Abigail.Abigail Overstreet has at long last met her hero. It was a brief moment of joy, but a joy that will never leave her.As for me, I'm glad that I can show you Abigail’s beautiful face, and I'm touched by the generous spirit of a quarterback named Tua Tagovailoa. That, my friend, is the story of Tua and Abigail, a story the girl in the picture will never forget.#TheRestOfTheStoryGalu N Diane Tagovailoa Hawaii – gohawaii.com University of Alabama AthleticsThe University of Alabama NFL Miami Dolphins Leigh Steinberg Book Club.

Portal 2 ending. This is so wonderful, and I’m very happy to be able to bring you this inside story:Wondering what the lining of Tua Tagovailoa’s jacket was all about? As Tua was drafted by the last night, millions of people commented on the lining of the jacket.
I see a number of people on Twitter are making light of former star receiver Henry Ruggs wearing a bathrobe last night while being drafted- many have mocked him.I always try to bring you the entire story, so allow me.Henry Ruggs III knows what it's like to climb back- he knows the feeling of losing someone close, and he knows the feeling of doing everything possible to make a life meaningful again. It was in early March of 2016 when Henry lost his best friend Rod Scott. You see, Rod was in a car traveling up I-65 - Rod was heading to Birmingham to watch the Lee-Montgomery basketball team play in the High School state basketball tourney. Henry had planned to travel to Birmingham with Rod, but he had the flu and stayed home. That car would crash, and Rod Scott's young life would be dashed.Henry's life changed in many ways that day, but through sheer will and faith, he motored on, and as Henry matured into a first round draft pick, he never scored an Alabama touchdown without pointing to the sky to honor his late friend.Last night, Henry wasn't just wearing a robe to grab attention with some stay-at-home joke. He was wearing an Old Spice robe for a reason: That company has agreed to donate $320,000 to the United Way on behalf of rookies from all NFL teams to kick start communities that are facing obstacles in the face of the Coronavirus (Darren Rovell one of the first to report).Yes, Henry Ruggs wore that robe on live TV last night to bring awareness to people who are struggling.People who may live in cities like Montgomery.People who have lost a loved one.People who are trying to climb back.People like Henry Ruggs III.And now you know the real story.NFL Network screen grab.
